Every building project undertaken in line with the goals of AECB CarbonLite has the potential to provide useful data for future learning. Individual projects are therefore never judged in simple terms of success or failure. However, where practitioners or clients require official certification for use as a quality assurance mark there are a number of approved Passivhaus UK certifiers who can carry out official certification of buildings. At this time enquiries concerning certification to AECB Silver Standard should be sent direct to the AECB, until such time as a range of PH certifiers have agreed to certify to this Standard.. To find out more about certification to the CarbonLite Silver Standard, email sally@aecb.net
Passivhaus Certification
The list of PHI approved certifiers to the Passivhaus Standard is growing; if you are an AECB member, have been accredited by the PHI to offer Passivhaus Certification , and would like to be included on this list, please email sally@aecb.net. In addition the AECB through its new initiative – the Passivhaus Buildings Trust - recently hosted the first UK PH Certifiers Steering Group meeting, and will be organising the second meeting this Spring. For information please contact Sally Hall at the AECB, as above.
